About ManéMané:

Miguel Becer is the soul, the leader, and the founder of the brand ManéMané. He was born in Extremadura. "Since my childhood, fashion has been present in my life in one way or another. I read the magazines my mother bought, and I was always very fascinated and interested in traditional and workwear from every culture and region of the world," he expressed.

With a twin brother, about whom Becer emphasized: “We are very different, but complement each other perfectly”, he received his education at the Conservatorio Superior de Música, with a focus on piano playing, before moving to the capital to study economics at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos I in Madrid, and simultaneously fashion design at School of Art No. 2. “I came to Madrid to study at the university and combined it with a course in styling and model training. I completed my education with a final project focusing on the invention of a brand, and at that moment ManéMané was born”, he reported.

He began his professional career at Amaya Arzuaga, where he worked as an assistant for the production of fashion shows. “I was surrounded by a lovely team and it was a phase where I learned a lot”, recalled the creator.

After a period with Ángel Schlesser, he decided to realize the project, which was still in the planning phase at the time, and founded his own company, debuting at the EGO of the Madrid runway show. After three collections, he won the prize in the fourth edition of the Who's On Next Awards - an award for young talent given by Vogue Spain in collaboration with Inditex.

After winning the Who’s On Next Awards in the 2015 edition, Becer realized: „Now everything starts. I won't have to worry anymore about not having the material I need for the exact dress I have in mind. I will make it. And I will be able to create a solid structure for the company. I am so...happy!”

According to its creator, the ManéMané woman is special because she dresses for herself, avoids excess, and does not use fashion as a seduction mechanism. I like to talk about femininity as an attribute that can be attributed to a woman who escapes stereotypes and can create her own vision of femininity. Neat and methodical, he admits that 'it's wonderful when you see someone has chosen one of your pieces of clothing to dress themselves, it creates a satisfying feeling of having done a good job'.
