How to Tie Men's Bow Ties

Tying men's bow ties properly can be a challenge at first, but with some practice and patience, you can quickly master it. First, make sure you have a men's bow tie that fits the size of your neck.

1. Place the wide end of the men's bow tie over the collar.

2. Thread the two loops of the narrow end under the first knot.

3. Pull the narrow end over the knot and then under the wide end of the men's bow tie.

4. Pull the narrow end over itself to form a half knot.

5. Pull the narrow end under the wide end of the bow tie and then through the half knot.

6. Pull the narrow end under the wide end of the bow tie and then over itself again.

7. The ends of the narrow end should now come out on the same side of the wide end.

8. Pull both ends of the narrow end to secure the knot.

9. Tighten the knot and adjust it to smooth it out.
